minutes of the AGM held in St Mawes on 30 July 2016 were agreed as a true
record. |

Chairman’s
Report |

4.1 |
RT
read an e-mail that had been received from RB suggesting that National Class
Chairmanship should be held by the club holding that National Championship
that year. Following discussion it was
agreed that this was not an acceptable proposal as it takes time to
understand the workings of the fleet in the two areas. It was therefore proposed and agreed that
the rule remain as is and that the National Class Chairman remain in office
for five years. It was therefore
assumed that Ian Reid would take on the role following his year away. MHC

MC
advised the fleet that there is approximately £5,000 of funds held in the
account and suggested we distribute £500 to each fleet plus an extra £500 to
the South West to aid with the 50th Anniversary Championship. This was agreed unanimously. |

Agreed it
had been a very successful and well run event, even the weather obliged. The Championship was won by Polly Oliver. |

Anniversary Championships & Falmouth Week |

As
yet no communication has been received from the South West with regards to
format or dates. It had been indicated
at the last AGM that they were looking to include the event within Falmouth Week. |
